Had a slight frost and not as cold.
Clear sky and light winds from the west south west temp 2c feels like -1

 

It is hunting day. A nippy 7c again but the sun is shining and we are heading to 17c.

All this sun seems nice, but we are under severe drought conditions. Just read this ...

"On the 20th and 21st of December, the rain that fell in the Algarve caused small floods in some urban areas…but it barely filled the six dams in the region, and the effect it had on alleviating the drought was minimal.

"The SNIRH data also reveal that none of the Algarve reservoirs has a level that can be considered reassuring. The one with the highest level of stored water is Funcho (Silves), with 66.5%, followed by Odeleite (Castro Marim), with 53.5%, Odelouca (52%), Arade (46.8% ), Beliche (Castro Marim, 45.7%) and finally Bravura (Lagos), with a very low 14.3%."

We are nearest Funcho which feeds with Arade. We only have perhaps a day of rain this month. This is our rain season.

Went out to walk the boys at 10am and it was colder with a lot of frost but the ground wasn't frozen but still sunny.

 

Now sunny intervals and a gentle breeze from the west south west temp 6c feels like 4c

 

Overcast with a steady breeze, but its dry 8c
