That has to be one of the worst pieces of suturing I have ever seen!

The wound is not properly closed, there's fat still showing, the stitched are HUGE and badly placed! A wound on the wrist should be closed with fine nylon and one that size should have had at least 10 stitches - but tiny ones.

And that was done by a doctor? :cnfs: Astonishing!

Happily it will heal anyway but will leave you with a broad scar instead of a hairline one.

I thought the same thing Daisees that the wound looked a bit too open which would surly allow germs to get into the wound, but didn't like to say as I am not medically trained....

:) Daisees.......The wound is at the bottom of my index finger and only an inch long,it hardly warrants 10 stitches............Glad it was your day off lol.
It is healing very well.............untill I knock it at work tomorrow....ouch.

I realised that, roders. But fingers nowadays are supposed to be treated like plastic surgery in order to preserve functionality. It should have been done with hair-sized nylon in very tiny sutures and done under local anaesthetic

    similar to this
