    Hi everyone
My wife bought this from the supermarket because it’s cheap.
She thinks that it can be saved.
So can it be saved, and how? Thanks

Hello Eric, it can be saved, but it will probably cost you more in plant food and Box moth treatment than it cost originally . It'll need coddling..snip out the obviously dead bits, feed and water regularly. There are two big enemies of Buxus that are running riot...the moth caterpillars and Box blight. You can spray with Bacillus thuringiensis to prevent and/or cure the first. Not sure if any treatment is available for blight.

      It's a boxwood *hissssssss*

I mean, nope... Totally not savable at all. Better throw it out and get something else. Everything would be better than this.... beautiful plant that doesn't seem to grow very well in your reagion *cough*

I reckon just a spray a couple of times if you spot the caterpillars would be enough, just a normal trigger spray that says it kills caterpillars would work.

Repot it into something a bit bigger and just water through the summer.

My box plants had the caterpillars last year and are growing back ok now.
