I've had this fern pop up in unexpected pots, from orchids to cacti.
I seems to thrive on neglect, but I like it.

I've tried removing it and potting it separately a few times but it always dies on me.
I could look it up but I'm sure someone will know it off the top of their head. 20220705_153006.jpg

It used to grow in the walls around an old cottage I once lived in, it's very pretty .

As Michael suggests it does grow on old walls and only grows in dry places, I think I've seen it locally but not common around here.
It happily survives with not being watered for about 9 months in the green house.

Might have to try some spores.

@pete I just put your photo into Plantnet and it agrees with me, but it's only 51.7% sure it agrees with me!

It won't grow in a pot @pete, it likes dry walls. Maybe you could try planting it in a cactus compost ?

That's the strange part, I dont think it likes root disturbance, because if I dig it out I'm pretty sure it will die.

It prefers dry walls although it is for some reason growing in Pete's pot with a cactus, so cactus soil is probably best for it if it's in a pot.
