    Hi,
what is this please? It's awfully familiar...

It grew bang in the middle of a seedling pot and tried to be a miniature Rose seedling I sowed, but now has decided to look very different. It was germinated indoors so not a gift from the wind or birds and must be something out of a seed bag. I'm a bit relaxed when it comes to seed sowing so this could be anything really. :th scifD36:

Hawthorn? (Although I didn't sow that... )

    Thanks!

This one germinated in a windowsill propagator in my living room. There weren't too many squirrels around I seem to recall. :th scifD36:

All the seeds looked like rose seeds and the compost was fresh- I think. :noidea:

I think my Not-A-Rose is somewhat a Beech. Very branching, bushy and nice but will have to go unless anyone can identify it as something rare and spectacular definitely worth keeping

Yes I agree it looks nutty, but as it germinated in a tiny propagator cell in my living room I would certainly have noticed a nut when potting it on.

Quite a nice visitor, slugs and pests ignore it so it must be a tree or a weed. :)

      How about Alder.
Seeds are tiny, or birch, that gets everywhere.
