Hi, Spruce. Yes, that is this morning. The two tall bits on the left is the Poincettia. Jacarandas to the far left.

        I have

Angels Sunbeam and Varigated Rosea both varieties new to me this year , now tucked away in the greenhouse .. see how I go with them .. I have had a colcasia for years which I have overwintered successfully so hopefully I can with the Brug

Victoria your Brugmansia looks fantastic and it is a truly wonderful looking plant.

I bought one when I first started gardening, I think I bought from Morrisons it looked fantastic but died in winter, it is not hardy and I have no real place to overwinter it, if I grow one it has t be as a annual.

Also when I was in Portugal, I witnessed the jacaranda tree in blossom, that looked out of this world, it stopped me in my tracks.

Out of interest can you grow a Amaryllis outside?

              Hi @GreenFingeredPete

Sorry Pete I missed this. I have two Jacaranda trees too, one of which contains a tree house for our cats and Van lives up there most of the day. :heehee:

If you are interested, I have a thread An Algarve Garden 2024

and I was just asked the size of the blooms and ...

I have had over 200 blooms at one time on it and it is very headily scented in the evenings.

I have had Amaryllis belladonna for years in the ground ...

                  Morning

my Brug are coming on really well..

I was looking at eBay at Brug on sale see what was avaible , all overpriced . But someone is selling bags of dried leaves and dry flowers , what would that be for ? Or am I being naive

I've got a few of my brug cuttings on the local selling page on Facebook, I'm not getting any takers for £10 do you think that is too expensive.

I have seen that and wondered the same.

I would buy one in a flash. Look exceptional.

                            Hi Pete

I thought smoked , can’t see poisonous leaves flowers in a pot purée bowl

£10 a bargain Pete if you sold on eBay but don’t know what the postage will be , if it has a name it will sell quicker ..
Do you start your cuttings in water
The trick with sending in the post is to put two canes either side in the pot that reaches the top of the box lid stops it sliding around

                            Spruce

@pete have you got something that shows how big they are, and what the flower is like? People don't read, and just latch on to photos. Eg put a beer bottle or something to show scale next to plant, and same for flowers. Mine have first flower of the year nearly ready to open!
