Plans beginning for 2025, first thing will be to sow Onion seeds this month in the heated prop, they will be in the conservatory to begin with, then into a blowaway inside the greenhouse.

Onion seeds are germinating, still very cold with minus temps most nights, but I have planted out the pot grown Strawberry plants into the ground, inside the greenhouse, these include French perpetuals that I find do better under glass up here, but struggle in pots.

A row of early radish sown under glass, be another month before I sow anything outside, still over night frosts most nights.

I started my peas(Onward) in root trainers in the greenhouse yesterday, these will be for growing on outside in raised beds.

Just been pollinating the strawberry flowers in the greenhouse, due to lack of pollinators in there I use a small artists brush( whilst buzzing like a Bee as the plants are listening you know!)

Potted up half a dozen lettuce, the idea being I will put them on a shelf above what ever it was that ate holes in the leaves last year, it might work lol.

With over night temperatures over the next two weeks forecast to drop to 2 or 3 degrees, the tender tomatoes and chillies will remain in the conservatory.

With overnight temps remaining reasonable I have planted some tomatoes as a tester to see how they fare, looking at the roots, they need moving on. Planted on some peppers/chillies into final sized pots too.

With a chance of a frost I covered everything in the greenhouse with fleece last night just in case.

Light frost outside again last night, I did not use the fleece, the tommies look fine, but a couple of peppers in pots looked a bit droopy this morning, they are back in the blowaway inside the greenhouse to see if they perk up, I might leave them in there this week.
