    Hi all, I would really appreciate your help to ID this plant I have found in my border this afternoon. Definitely not planted by myself. Is it a keeper? Should I pot it up?
    Thank you in advance.
    Jasmine.

    Have you got a sycamore tree close by? Maybe it's a sucker.

      I think sycamore as well :smile:. It could be self seeded - they can be difficult to dig out.

        I would suggest Acer platanoides.....common name Norway maple.

          Yes, @Silver surfer, I concur, it does look more like a maple leaf.

            Thanks everyone ☺️
            @Jenny_Aster I don't have a sycamore close that I'm aware of.

            @Silver surfer I'll look up Maples and have a read up. I was thinking of getting some kind of tree for the garden but I was thinking of something beneficial to wildlife and not huge :heehee:

            Hmm, after having a read I don't think the Maple will be staying. Unfortunately, I don't live in a park :heehee:

            Thanks again everyone.
