    We have lived next to this plant for almost twenty years. We have always known what it is called. Until now. Neither of us can drag the slightest memory of it from our sagging brain cells. Please help.

            Yes, it has rather attractive white flowers in spring and red berries that the birds love in autumn….

                  I was thinking a viburnum, but the leaves don't look right on second thoughts...there again, I could be wrong!

                  Right or wrong, Guelder Rose is what she’s always been known as, so that’s fine!

                  Googling Guelder rose produces some interesting Wikipedia facts. Like the importance of the plant in Ukrainian folklore, music and embroidery!
