Since this thread is active again, here's a list of my available seeds. Unless you have something to swap that I fancy, I ask £1 by PayPal to cover a stamp and packaging, regardless of how many varieties you request. Info about most varieties listed here can be found on the forum, using the search function.

        Dwarf Mary's Cherry

        Dwarf Wild Fred

        Santorini

        Reinhard Kraft's Purple Sugar

        Miss/Mrs Kennedy

        Kazakcha

        Gobstopper

        Mango Lassi

        Tamina

        Gerald's Mystery

        Tumbling Monster

        Zauberstab

Subject to availability. Quantities vary. PM if interested. If you're looking more for types rather than specific varieties, I can usually put you a decent selection together. Please note that my seeds are overwhelmingly smaller-fruited indeterminates, although I do have a few bush, dwarf cordon and micro dwarf types.

Would anyone be interested to exchange sweet peppers seed ?
I have seed of red ,green , yellow, orange, chocolate ,purple, lemon drop , block swèet peppers(capsicums).

The long sweet banana pepper in red , yellow and orange seed .
I can send a small quantity now or wait until mine have fruited and of course would be the freshest seed .though ive never had any failures with 5 yrs old peppers seed.

I also have a pkt of chilli pepper seed , not sure this moment in time of what it is

Careful how you say that! :heehee:

              Best performers were:

Copper Currant. Absolute triffid, loaded with fruit. Very tasty.

Norwood Meiners. Pride of my friend's greenhouse. She's had "best tomato I've ever had" feedback from visitors. I grew a rooted side shoot at the front of my house and it romped away.

Bloody Butcher. It just gets on with it. If hubby picks a random tomato from the ripe tray for his butty then remarks how tasty it is, it's usually a Bloody Butcher.

Henry Harringtons. Proper tasting cherry toms on a 30cm plant in May. It was still healthy and producing yesterday when I culled it.

I didn't grow anything that didn't perform at least fairly well, so there are no "bad" varieties on my seed offer list, but above are the standouts.

Hello, potential seed swappers. I know seed swapping is not a popular topic for these pages but I’d much rather deal with fans of Gardeners’ Corner than on any other social media. Anyway, here goes with fingers crossed.

I am looking for the following varieties:

                Cuban Salami

                Barry’s Crazy Cherry

                Dr. Wiche’s Yellow

                Giant Kuby

                Lovers Lunch

                Lucky Cross

                Mayo’s Delight

                Ozark Sunrise

                Rhoades Heirloom

                Sart Roloise

                Virginia Sweets

                Vorlon

                Yoda’s German Pink

                Zurcher’s (Zurich) Original

In exchange, (5 seeds) I have the following varieties:

                Amur Tiger

                Golden Sunrise

                Dwarf Brandywine Cherry

                Cookie Select

                Tiger Zebra

                Coeur Rose de Pessac

                Azoychka

                Ethiopian Black

                Beefsteak

                Adjutant

                Green Doctors’ Cherry (GWR)

                Teton de Venus

                Malachite Box (GWR)

                Rebel Starfighter VT 16 (GWR).

                Lucid Gem.

PM me if you’re interested in taking part.

Thanks, Nigel, I do understand. Even many proper tomato enthusiasts don't have the mindset of some of the more extreme variety fanatics, among us. It can take up a great deal of time researching varieties and some people simply don't have the time to spare. I will keep my fingers crossed, though. There are still some 'tomato-lunatics' out there. No offence intended, as I count myself as one of them.

@Fred Clarke the other issue for many, including myself, is space. I can grow 10 to 14 plants in my greenhouse in 15 L pots. Down here outside the greenhouse is a none starter if they aren't munched by molluscs, in many years outside they pretty quickly develop blight. Although this year I could've probably got away with it.

Indeed Nigel. We people further north don't appreciate that you have your own problems down south. An earlier season, maybe, but and it's a big BUT - I haven't seen blight in about 20 years. That last bit was whispered and long may that continue.

I am pretty ruthless, though. As soon as outside plants stop producing and it's obvious no more will ripen, they are out and in the Hotbox. I took out my first two this morning (Dino's Eggs and Sgt Pepper's).
