I've booked up for the BBC Gardener's World Live show in June at the NEC and was looking for suggestions of gardens to visit on my way back home heading to Scotland on the Sunday. Thanks in advance.

You'd have been welcome to pop in here to Shineyland but it's a bit of a detour and we have family over from Oz and other places. :noidea:

If you’re travelling north on the M6, try Biddulph Grange near Congleton, Staffordshire, a fascinating Victorian garden managed by the National Trust.

Further up the M6 is Levens Hall, near Kendal, with a spectacular topiary garden.

Just outside Windermere in the Lake District is the Lakeland Horticultural Society Gardens. They are very well worth a visit.

Parking and entrance is free but they do have a donations box.

It is about 25 miles from J36 on M6.

      Visit - Holehird (en-GB)
