To me it's easier to find non organic plant food compared to organic plant food. I assume the non organic is made of chemicals and hormones. Is there a reason why people don't seek out organic plant food more often

I rarely buy any plant food these days but a quick google brings up lots of organic/natural options from the big fertiliser suppliers and smaller companies.

When i did buy regularly I usually used chicken pellets and fish, blood and bone

I probably use both but use inorganic for liquid feeding pots and chicken pellets on the veg.

As with all organic stuff it seems to come with a higher price.

Hormones are organic compounds and I've never met a plant food with them in.
I use both I use Growmore (non-organic) sometimes, Blood Fish and Bone (Organic), Chicken pellets (organic) Seaweed extract (organic) Miracle Gro and Phostrogen (non-organic), Lime (non-organic).

N P and K are chemical elements absorbed by plants, any organic matter needs to decompose first to release these chemical nutrients for plants to use. Wherever ready mineral fertilizers are already at known strength, it's easy to overfeed plants when using organic mixtures.
Feeding effect overall is the same.
Personally my only concern would be what are the side ingredients in mineral mixtures. On the other hand organic isn't safe too, many cases of weedkiller traces being in those.
