      That name doesn't ring a bell either @Mrs Hillard but it's more likely that my memory is far from what it was :)

      I know I had a Fritz Nobis in that area a long time ago, but I'm not sure that's the one.

        @Pete8 oh dear I am doing well.. I really can't recall now, maybe we stick with Fritz Nobis?..

        @Valleysgirl
        Those are 2 lovely roses. I'd say the top one is 'Mum in a Million', and the bottom one possibly 'Bonica' but not certain without seeing more of the plant.

              oh ok, well I'm not sure really, it has some similarity to 'The Anniversary Rose' but the buds are usually much darker..
              Sorry I can't help you further, you'll have to go back sometime and knock on the door, I'd like to know too !.

                Good Morning @Mrs Hillard, lovely to see you back again. I am curious, having scaled down on your rose collection, what made you purchase 'The kings rose? I thought you had stopped buying them?

                  @Meomye..
                  Thank you, yes I've scaled down a lot but I can still manage a few new ones here and there.. I took a liking to the unusual colours of that rose and it will be fun to pair it up with companions..
                  Oh and good morning to you too, good to see so many members with roses in their gardens..
                  'Lavender Lassie'.. a rather gorgeous floribunda/climber that can grow quite large on support.. delicious scent..

                      @Mrs Hillard my mistake it is ‘Mum in a Million . The Rose I said was flowering now at home in a bed is ‘ For your eyes only ‘ and yes the second Rose is ‘ Bonica ‘ so nice to see beautiful Roses in front gardens of ‘quaint’ cottages on the seafront at Bude yesterday. Many thanks .

                          ..^that's a nice Hulthemia Kate isn't it? unusual mix of colours on those. I'd like to see how it compares to more established varieties of this type..

                          @Valleysgirl
                          Oh that's good, I thought I was going doolally.. I was in Falmouth just recently, saw some lovely roses there too, besides all the tropicals..

                          ..this lilac coloured rose is a floribunda called 'Lucky'.. very popular, just coming out here.. with Clematis 'Souvenir du Capitaine Thuilleaux'.. and Aquilegia 'Blue Barlow'

                              I've just come back to my garden in France. We've been at OH's cottage in Norfolk.

                              There are lots of roses out. None in the photos were here 4 years ago when I bought this cottage, some only planted last winter.

                                More roses. My roses got a bit battered by the huge downpour on Monday, but are recovering.
