I am devastated. My three year old tree lily was "chopped " down by something. Will it survive with no growth or is it doomed? Many yhanks for any advice. Or condolences.

First pic is what they look like uninjured.

I had normal lilys that this happened to last year, it meant no flowers that year but the bulb has re grown just fine (so far) this year.

Condolenscences. Leave it alone and it should be OK next year. The damage looks like caterpillar or slug/snail munching.
This is the first year I have had no lily beetle on mine, so far.

Oh thank you thank you thank you. I was worried it wouldn't come back again from not getting any nutrition from the sun.

It is actually snapped. I don't know what did it but I do have my suspicions and will be doing something about that!
