Thank you @lizzie27 , it's a David Austin purchase from last year. I wanted a standard for that particular site just to have some height in the border and Golden Celebration seemed to be such a happy colour as well. It has a lovely scent too. I'm a recent rose convert!

Boscobel - the plant seemed really weak in it's first year last year, but is picking up this year.

          Some more roses.

This was sold as The Pilgrim but it's darker and has a smaller whitish edge. The photo doesn't really show the colour properly. Could it Charles Darwin?

Lady Emma Hamilton. Bought in France after David Austin discontinued it. Glad to find her as I had to leave my old one behind when I moved.

..those Persica roses are very lovely, I especially like 'The Bees Knees'.. I didn't expect to..

'Lolabelle' is a very fine rose, does well in shady spots too.. I did wonder if it was a renaming but was unable to match it up..

Warm Welcome starting to fill an obelisk. The flowers are small but vibrant!

After teasing me for weeks, pretending the blooms were about to open but never doing so (except for one premature bloom), some of my roses are FINALLY starting their first flush of flowers :phew:

Here are some very quick photos.

                          The Country Parson:

Emily Bronte (which has my favourite fragrance):

                          20250601_084901~2.jpg

Lady of Shalott. Her bold colours and large size have such an impact but sadly this one suffers quite badly with blackspot for me.

The star of the show though these days is For Your Eyes Only, which I am glad to see is loved by other members of this forum as well.
