What a shame I must admit most of my roses are looking a bit bedraggled and please don’t mention the peonies! I picked some yesterday but those left are lying in the mud and there are petals everywhere. I did cut a few roses for a vase too but as for those in the garden….. anyone know how to make pot pourri?

That's a shame about your Isaphan @lizzie27. Are there more buds to come out.

    I've never made pot pourri, @Debs64 .

Here are some general photos of roses in my garden in France. This bit of the garden I made in the last 3years.

That's a beautiful garden in just three years @Busy-Lizzy.

I'm hoping I still have buds to come on my Isaphan but it's been far too wet to go and have a look! Maybe tomorrow.

I absolutely love the colour of the different blooms on Malvern Hills, my first plant from David Austin didn’t ever start growing and after a few emails they replaced it thankfully and it’s now creating a beautiful arch.

      Desdemona, such a delicate colour.
      IMG_4587.jpeg IMG_4586.jpeg

Bring me Sunshine, a friend's husband had it last summer and when it didn’t perform he threw it out, I rescued it from their bin when she told me! It looked very sad at the time but I’m glad I did.

Mum in a Million, bought by my husband on Mother’s Day, in a panic, from a petrol station!! Apparently it’s a hybrid tea whereas I prefer floribundas but it’s quite pretty.

My favourite, I think, is Eustacia Vye. I love the peach centre.

Thank you, @Mrs Hillard. I love your garden. Your plants always look so healthy.

It's not possible to grow a lawn here like an English lawn because of the weather but I don't mind so long as it's green. I have wild areas too where I let the grass and wild flowers grow.

Thank you @Mrs Hillard I've run out of room in the garden so lots of my roses are in pots which makes for lots of watering and feeding!

My roses are starting to pick up after the rain. Obviously the plants all love the rain but the individual blooms struggle a bit. I have bring me sunshine @CatDouch i bought it last year so let’s see how he does, lots of buds.
Desdemona was moved in the spring so she is sulking at the moment but she is a real favourite of mine.

More roses, Desdemona, Blue for You, and Ghislaine de Feligonde.

Sorry, the last rose is pink Eglantyne with Allium Christophii

Thanks Kate. I seem to have great difficulty posting and naming photos using my phone, don't quite know why. It's fine with one photo per post but more seems difficult so apologies!

                          Your roses are beautiful @lizzie27.
It's harder on a phone, it's all so small.
I find it easiest to upload the photos here and when they have all arrived click on "full image". They will all look very close together when you scroll them up and down. Click on the right side of a photo, then 3 times on enter, the new line or paragraph bar. A gap will appear between that photo and the next one that you can type in.
