Could be Stargazer lily perhaps.

 

Thanks, it has a lovely scent.
It was given as a gift last year, sat outside most of winter, looks like only one bulb survived.

 

I would agree with a Stargazer variety.

 

There are lots and lots of varieties, but if you only had one managing the winter, just make sure you plant it in a well draining site. They can easily rot.
