Current thinking regarding mushroom on soil

    What should I do about the mushrooms i can see in the soil

    Nothing. You can knock them off if you don't like to see them, but they're just the fruiting bodies. The underground parts will still be there. Fungi are part of a healthy soil ecosystem.

      Why do you want to do anything with them, they're just the fruiting bodies of soil fungi and will be gone in a few days.

        Encourage them with liberal amounts of woody compost and mulch. Its the (first) signs of an improving soil condition. They will have lain dormant until such times as suitable materials have been supplied.
        DO NOT EAT THEM unless you are totally convinced that the variety is edible.

          I don't like the look of them, but I guess if they will go soon I can just leave them. The only mulch I use is tree bark but maybe I should change this if this is what mushrooms like

            If you don't like the look of them, then probably best to not look at them.
            A garden without fungus is more like a desert.
            Discouraging fungus in the soil is a bit like discouraging soil, or air, or weather or breathing....
