Thank you @CarolineL Some people consider Scepter'd Isle to be their favourite rose. It's very romantic, a bit old fashioned but in a good way, is pollinator friendly and is said to produce good rose hips as well. It's only the second year I've had it.

The fragrance is considered myrrh but I find that there is a big difference between different "myrrh" fragrances. This one has a good intensity and it is spicy, but not sweet. It's not my personal favourite fragrance, I do prefer sweet/floral/fruity, but it is different and I have warmed up to it.

Some beautiful photos on this thread. Thanks all!
The third of my six roses is now in flower. Lovely fragrance from this rose. The last three are all in pots and in bud.

I thought I would show some love for The Country Parson.

I think it's one of the least popular David Austin roses. And yes, compared to some of the other roses, it seems a bit more wild (smaller blooms & laced with thorns, new growth is just green) but that's also its charm. It's a good plant on its own right. It keeps blooming and blooming, it's very healthy, the fragrance is lovely and it is always the first one to bloom for me. For a rose, it is also considered shade tolerant. I actually plan to eventually move it to a slightly shadier spot, so that the yellow colour lasts longer before it lightens to white.

Here is also a photo of Lady of the Lake.

Ascot. An impulse purchase from my local garden centre last week. A nice healthy plant with several flower buds and at £12 who could resist?

I've left my French roses behind, they were almost over until the next flush, and I'm now at OH's cottage in Norfolk. The roses are going over here too, badly need watering and deadheading but here are a few photos.

The last three of my roses have really suffered with torrential rain, wind and cold over the last two weeks. In the last two days they are recovering with a change to dry warm weather.
                              Many Happy Returns.jpg Chandos Beauty.jpg

Many Happy Returns looking a bit bedraggled. Usually a lovely rose.
Chandos Beauty looking a bit better, but quite a few buds to come. One more to come, hopefully in a better state!
