I also touch type and have never liked the feel or flatness of the laptop keyboard. Absolutely hate the mouse pad or whatever they call it. I used external keyboard and mouse, along with numbers at the top. Never use the number pad.

Here in Shineyland there is no fee for any of our bins - apart from the council tax.

Fireworks were let off at 1.30 am about half a mile away. These were huge ones. The whole neighbourhood must have been woken up. Couldn't get back to sleep after and it was so hot. But don't these people realise it's against the law? They had already practiced earlier in the week in the daytime.

I think it was to do with an Asian wedding do yesterday lunchtime at a property on the main road with hundreds of cars blocking the road. The women were all dressed in gold with jewellery hanging everywhere and the blokes were all smartly dressed in the same suit. There was a bright pink Range Rover and a left hand drive Lamborghini with a young lad about to drive off. Loads of money being flashed around and hot cars.

I am now super grumpy and tired and can't be bothered to do anything.

            My moan is now over.

Yesterday the roads had melted a bit, with the usual tar patches that show just how hot the tarmac is, yet people still think it's fun to drag their dogs around the streets. There were several poor pooches that looked like they were really suffering. I know 30c isn't that hot but the pavements are nearer 50c. You'd think people with dogs would have more sense but they are happy to sit outside tesco, eating an ice lolly in the full sun, while their dogs melt.

Our dog sometimes basks in the sun until we get her in but she is so hairy that the sun doesn't penetrate the fur and reach her skin. We know her feet have no such protection underneath so took her swimming early in the morning so she didn't have to deal with burning pavements. The fact that her hair holds so much water kept her cool most of the day and I didn't see her pant at all.

I was at a car boot sale last week, an afternoon affair and the sun was beating down. Dogs aren't normally allowed, but there was a guy on a mobility scooter with a dog so he must have got it in as some sort of support animal. It was a big chow with the full fluffy coat, and I kept crossing their path as he dragged it up and down every single row of stalls.

@cactus_girl It's called 'a sense of entitlement' and seems to be widespread these days, and not limited to any particular ethnic group. We now live in a world where most don't give a **** (insert your own term) about anybody apart from themselves.

I find the adults worse than the kids. Especially men playing football with their children - constant shouting! Plus that awful doof, doof of the ball being kicked.

They seem to get screaming lessons at these child care places from an early age.

Some years ago my neighbours kids systematically destroyed my fence down their side keep smashing a football into it, the neighbours at the time said, well its not really a very strong fence is it, it was that woven lath stuff on concrete posts.
I replaced it with 4x2 and a close boarding in the end.

Now the kids have left home, what have the neighbours got, the same fence I had that was considered not very strong.

I see that driving with a cup of tea/coffee in your hand can be a bit of a problem, just watched some one stop & exit a car very quickly and bushing and holding they're jeans out, it must have been very hot in the middle area  you pay the price when doing that sort of thing  i wonder if they will have to rub cream onto the burns :pathd:
