Hi everyone, a bit embarrassed to ask this but..

Last week I started harvesting some of my garlic and hung them up in the shed as usual. The thing is, a while ago we discovered that an old tin of Jeyes fluid had fully leaked onto a couple of shelves in the shed and now it reeks in there. I kept meaning to clean it up but just don't quite know how (absorb it with sand? Would the local tip be happy to take Jeyes fluidy sand and anything else covered in it? I just couldn't deal with it tbh).

I'm now a bit worried that I've had this garlic hanging up absorbing all the smell of the Jeyes fluid and whether it'll be safe to eat. I still have lots more to harvest! What would you do? (Apart from starting off by cleaning the leak!) Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry about the garlic, though a good idea to air the shed or/and move the garlic.

Jeyes is used on cooking equipment, though not as concentrated as that...

Not sure, it might taste funny, but I cant think it would be dangerous to eat.

Jeyes is soluble in water so should just wash down and leave for the smell to dissipate.

Perhaps you could pass it off as smoked garlic.
