I found the tiniest strawberries today in my garden

    They are so full of seeds, Thevictorian! I have a blackbird that hops around in the area where mine is growing, maybe he'll eat them.

        They must be pretty common because I saw some more this afternoon in a different woods and there were plenty of berries and yellow flowers. The fruit sits on top in full view of where the flower was whilst in strawberries it hangs down and is more hidden.

          I've just picked some wild strawberries, we have them in a pot. Very intense flavour-lovely.

            Yes, that's it Thevictorian, the berries on mine were sitting in full view like that, not hidden away as with normal strawberry plants.

            This is definately vesca. fruit is best when its dark red and squishy. The wild ones here mostly grow in full sun on dry chalk.
