Any email experts out there?

My OH sent a Hotmail email to his doctor’s surgery’s email address on Sunday asking if he maybe needed to see someone face to face rather than by telephone about a small and non urgent problem.

He heard nothing back, so he called in at the surgery this morning and they told him that the doctor had replied the following day, Monday, by clicking the Reply button and asking him to book a face to face appointment.

He has checked his email address inbox, junk box, deleted box and the original email he sent to them but has been unable to find this reply in any of them.

Does anybody have a clue what might have happened? Thanks.

 

I would ask them to check their Sent and Drafts folders.

 

I currently cannot send emails from my Plusnet account to a Hotmail one, but I can receive them. Once received, if I reply, that does not get delivered.

I read Microsoft did an update, affecting Hotmail/Outlook, that may not be compatible with other servers, but whether this is actually the cause, I don't know.

I dont use outlook or hot mail so cant help.

Do you think one day they might actually get the internet to be half reliable, seems to me they should have things all sorted by now but its still a bit dodgy regarding a few things.

 

It could be the GP's excuse for not bothering to send one.
