I was given these plants some time ago but would like to know what they are before planting to give me an idea of size and whether they are perennials etc. Thanks IMG_0470.jpeg IMG_0469.jpeg IMG_0468.jpeg IMG_0467.jpeg

    1. Clary Sage
    2. Nigella (love-in-a-mist). It's an annual. If you let the seed pod dry, then you can shake the seed where you want it to flower next. They may flower this year too.
    I've got masses of them.

Looked this up. Yes could be. ‘Spiky’ bits not so pronounced as images I’ve looked at but very like the flower shape.

I pretty sure 3 isn't a Gaura. I'm not sure it's Clarkia judging by the leaves, the flowers look a bit like large shrubby salvias but it's not one of those.
    Number 4, honeysuckle ??

    Agree with 1 & 2 .

    4. Interesting..been thinking.
    Not Lonicera.
Lonicera ...common name Honeysuckle has opposite leaves.
Struggling to get a good look at this plant...have turned pic and trimmed it, lightened it.
Very shortly the flowers on it will be open.

Kitty52 Do please add clear pic showing the flowers to this thread

Agree not the best of photos. May wait for one of the buds to open. Might make it easier.

Sorry AnniD Been puzzling over 3.
More clearer pics might be helpful.

      Not sure that Clarkia fits.

Gaura leaves are not a match.
      Name has been changed.
Below is my pic Oenothera lindheimeri Gaudi white syn Gaura lindheimeri gaudi white.

"Gaura leaves are typically narrow and lance-shaped, often described as elliptical with slightly toothed margins" OENOTHERA LINDHEIMERI GAUDI WHITE SYN GAURA GAUDI MEDIUM WHITE 06-08-2024 11-29-21.JPG

Thanks for comments. Picture 3 plant only has one flower so far. I’ll wait until a few more come out to get a better photo and repost.
