            Do you have sycamores about the place @BB3? If so, rip it out before it gets a good hold.

            I have a massive sycamore but that's not a seedling. I have studied hundreds of specimens:sad:

              Pretty sure it is a vine of some kind but no idea what. I have a similar one which is growing right against a S facing wall and hemmed in by various shrubs. Impossible to dig out. It neither produces flowers nor does it change leaf colour in Autumn/Winter. A rampant grower. Be interesting to see if anyone can actually ID it for sure. Maybe @Silver surfer will know ?

                    Definitely not "Old Mans Beard" I pull up as many seedlings of this as I do sycamore, and ash.
                    It does look like a grape vine.

                    Oh good @NigelJ . It can stay. Next door have put up a new fence and It needs covering Grapes would be a bonus but I'm not counting on a grand cru or even enough for a fruit salad.
