            Well, July and the heat got away ... well no, the heat is still here. So Jim got up on The Baffa roof and took some pics yesterday. For ten years we had a deck up there but it was too hot to sit up there so we had it removed.

                  Lovely, @Victoria. I wish we could keep plumbago outside in winter in Dordogne, it's such a beautiful blue.

                  Yes, we love it, but it took three years to really settle in. We cut it back ti about a meter in October, I can see it from the bed in the morning with the rising sun. It blooms May to October. It is the one thing we let run wild. :biggrin:

                    I always like to see your Plumbagos @Victoria, I've got two in pots but they haven't flowered this summer, I think they needed more water than I gave them. One has a few buds now at last but that's all, and it won't look as good as yours.

                      I think it is long periods of hot sun too Michael as I don't believe ours gets much water. It is just one plant in the ground next to the Iochroma which it clambers through.

                        I think in the ground they have a better chance of obtaining some water, even if only a small amount, but a pot dries out quickly.
