Suppliers say it has a strong fragrance, but I'm not finding that. Whereas Twice in a Blue Moon (bought from same place, same time) definitely has. However I love the colour - like butterscotch suede

Handel, which I thought I'd lost because I haven't even seen its stems for a few years, but now here it is again !

And yet another photo of Scepter'd Isle. I have really appreciated this rose lately. Even the fragrance, that I originally wasn't a big fan of (myrrh / spicy) has really grown on me. Plus, I think it's better now that the rose is more mature. And I love the fact that it's pollinator friendly rose. It's said to produce good rose hips as well (last year that wasn't the case for me, but the rose was very young).

Now I'm back in my garden in France and I've done masses of deadheading. Some roses are starting to produce another flush of flowers.

These two are Marie Curé, darker one is a younger flower.

I was taking the photos in the sun with my phone so I couldn't see the screen and now I see that the close ups are blurred, bother.

After Marie Curie x 2 there is Aspirine, Louise Odier, Burgundy Ice, Anapurna, Open Arms, Blush Noisette, Friendly and Arthur Bell.

                      I had trouble editing them.

The roses are still putting up a fight and refuse to stop flowering (though they are not at their peak of course). The 3 biggest troopers for me have been the ones shown below (Penelope Lively, The Country Parson and Silas Marner).
