No I don't overwinter any of them. They are grown from seed sown on boxing day each year :)

I don't have room for that many full sized plants and also am intent on keeping creatures from coming inside. I start over 300 pots of annuals (flowers, chillies etc.) and I've taken the time to bake all bugs and their eggs out of the new soil I used to refill my seedling pots.

The pots these chillies are in just get refilled right out of the bag and left in the greenhouses over the winter and ready to receive seedmings in the spring.

I use this stuff bought new each year. I have two more bags in the cellar waiting to be baked up for winter starts.

I have sturdy colourful refillable pots from Indoor Gardener. :)

Last winter my new potting soil produced soil gnats and even using mosquito bits I could not eradicate them. So this year no bugs are allowed inside these walls :paladin:

You are most welcome. When I made it this past Saturday, I almost had to add 3/4 cup more flour because the eggs I have right now are huge plus I believe my flour is moist because of our high humidity. Don't be afraid to add extra flour if it doesn't feel "doughy" enough. I add until it is soft but not sticky, just a little tacky on the outside of the ball.

                Those are lovely cayennes!

Two of my ring of fire plants are not ring of fire. I must have somehow mixed up the seeds last year. So this year I'll be extra careful and be sure to label them indelibly!

Masses of greenfly on my plants now, I've tried a few sprays but like last year they just ignore them now. They are however pretty big plants now, hopefully they'll grow through

A few more are ripping thankfully. I had to remove one due to disease.

My chilies are beginning to get away now and are setting fruit. I separated them to give them more air/sun and gave them a feed. The 9ins long one is still growing and a second fruit has set. One plant has grown much bigger and stronger than any of the others, no flowers yet.
Patience and the waiting game now.

Sorry only just spotted your question! It's called Chenzo and it's a medium hotness, 45000 Scoville Heat Units according to the label. I've just googled it for the first time and apparently the chillis turn red when mature. None of mine have changed yet so will be interesting to see what happens.

The plant is dripping with fruit, I'm never going to eat them all!
