Just checked the gauge, another 17mm overnight and early this morning, that makes 34mm since Saturday.
They forecast thunder this afternoon, that's about the only thing we haven't had.

Seems a bit Autumnal this morning and it was a bit chilly first thing with lots of dew. Lots of toadstools coming up, especially in that peat free compost.

We still have a weather warning for thunder and heavy showers. So I think we could have anything. Max 21c.

We got another 0.5mm rain yesterday evening after I checked the gauge, so yesterday's total is 13.5mm. Not much compared to what @pete got, but not bad for here. It was the 3rd wettest day of the year so far, with Saturday the 2nd wettest. Only beaten by 5th January which was exceptionally wet with a whopping 40mm (which for us is close to a month's worth on average).

There's a possibility of some rain this afternoon, which will probably show up just because we've got a man coming to fit new doors on the garage and put up a new shed (probably 2 or 3 men actually - best get the kettle on!) and there's still a thunderstorm warning in place although we haven't had one yet.

Well I'm not saying Ramsgate got a good soaking around 10.30, but
I sat outside a cafe and watched the river running down to the market square:mute:

It is fresh and 64f 16c at the moment. The guessers say it will only go up to the mid 70's low 20'sC. And the sun is brilliant. :spinning:

At 1.30pm we had a thunderstorm just passing through with nothing for us.

It rained in Tewkesbury for 10 minutes at 11:30. Lawns are even drier than our ones. Around 22c.

I dried washing and filled my garden bins before the sky looked threatening. No rain yet despite forecast, and still about 21 degrees.

Yesterday we initially cancelled a planned meet up with friends for the afternoon, on the basis of the Met Office "Woe, woe and thrice woe" forecast of heavy rain from about 9am. When nothing had arrived, not even a drop by midday we decided to go ahead. We then had two short burst of heavy rain probably totalling less than 30 minutes in all, before we left home at about 1.30pm. No further rain by the time we got back home again about 8pm. Today showers were predicted for this afternoon, and I appreciate location of showers is difficult to predict, but we had literally about 30 seconds when I was in the garden. It had stopped by the time I got back to the house.

I think we might have escaped, although its often looked like rain all day, looking a bit more settled now but that can change in minutes.

                                it reached 22c eventually.
