It’s really rather warm (23) and I’ve put sunscreen on today rather than cover up and now I remember why that’s not ideal - I’m all sticky and covered in bits!

Yeah, mostly cloudy, but with sunny spells, warm in the sun, but nothing great during the cloud.
      23c was about the max.

Got to 35c for a few hours but the North breeze was thankfully always with us. Sat out for two hours this evening. Very pleasant. Now in for dinner, jacket potato for me with cheese and onion. Still with the gusty breeze and 27,5c. :dbgrtmb:

I have still the screenshots that promised rain for hours just 2 days ago. Looking at the BBC forecast this morning and the same on ITV Meridian yesterday evening, just a few hit and miss spots. How on earth can they be so wrong about weather in the next 48 hours?
We are heading to London soon, but I don't expect any rain today, tomorrow and the rest of the year. It all started when that bloody High in March stayed for 12 weeks. We are again in a similar situation. The Low on the east side from us and the Azores High don't move.

To make it worse, we can expect 29C next week. We are doomed.

This is the second worst summer I have experienced in my life. The first one was in 2003 in Berlin when I thought I go mad with all the sunshine and 33c day and night from April to September.

Just an example: Hamburg, this is summer in Germany since July started.

Heard the rain on the conservatory roof first thing ,they got it right for a change. Quickly rescued clothes on the line and waiting for it to stop shortly busy day gardening later. 14C to 22C here today.

Overcast but no rain forecast (the rain still keeps missing us) so have the sprinkler on the veggies. We still have to use the sprinkler on flower beds if we want to do weeding as the ground is rock hard.

Hazy sun, very calm, 22c going to low 30s and humid. Our high temp warning has gone but we are going to be low 30s all week ... I guess that's not high because it's low.

We’ve had a bit of rain and it may be drizzly all morning. The garden is so dry though - the soil at the back of the garden is cracked and dry and the Hydrangea I pruned right back to try to save it is probably not going to make it.

We had a sharp shower earlier, but that maybe all we get.

Temps OK at 15c. Seems warmer though.
