I assume it was put there to stop a certain section of the community from accessing the land.

They say that Landrovers were built to last.

Lovely to see the lambs @wiseowl. :) The ewe in your first shot looks ready for shearing but it's a bit early yet for that.

Daffodils in the park this morning, they have been here for more than 20 yrs , get no attention other than left to die back without getting mowed.

I went on a little trip around some local country lanes yesterday, so see if I could find some wild flowers, (they will be on the wild flower thread soon) and I stopped in Llandeilo to take a few photos of the church ...
Many of my ancestors are buried there but I've never found a head stone with their names on.

It was a misty cloudy day so the photos are not very good.

It was a beautiful day for a ride, so we went to Manchester, Vermont. There is a shop that sells kitchen gadgets. I knew my wife could not resist buying a few, she did not disappoint me. I love to photograph the covered bridge at Arlington in different seasons. And, we bought some Vermont hickory smoked cheese for good measure.

This is Grafton Lakes State park, which is not far from our house. It offers swimming, boating, hiking, and a nature center. There is no charge for "senior citizens." The park is beautiful during every season of the year, but in the winter there is usually a lot of snow because of its elevation. GLSP.jpg

Dustin Swamp at Dyken Pond in Grafton, NY. This was once woodland until the area was flooded by a beaver dam, turning it into a ghost forest and eventually a swamp. I rarely see any wildlife at this site, as remote as it is. The remains of the beaver dam are barely visible in the upper right corner of the image. Image taken with Potensic Atom drone.
