Can someone please identify this plant. I've had it many years but this is the first time it has flowered.
I was given it by a lady on another forum but I can't remember what she said it was called. She is dead now so I can't ask.

It looks like a Crinum, probably Powellii. I have a white one, very pretty.

I have the pink ones in two locations - both sunny but the ones in the very dry bed have yet to have flowers so I'll be moving them in autumn. They are hardy to -15C and don't like to be wet but clearly not happy being bone dry either.

Thank you all, I am glad to know what this is called.
I've never seen slugs on it, it's in a big pot and remains outside all year round. Maybe I ought to put it inside next winter, out of the rain.

              Crinum powelli...A stunning flower.
I have always loved the distinctive curled male stamen. CRINUM POWELLII 16-08-2009 10-48-031.JPG CRINUM POWELLII 16-08-2009 10-49-25.JPG
