    Id please
    about 2-2half inchies long, about half an inch wide and wiggles when picked up. found in a row of spuds about 6 inchies down under the soil, soil is very dry so must be a fighter DSCF4394.JPG

    Think it's a moth pupa, @Jiffy . Someone better inform3d than me will be able to identify it.

      Could be a ground beetle pupae of some variety. This phase is normally 7-14 days in duration; why dont you keep it in soil in a ventilated jar somewhere cool and see what emerges. Please report back; it wont be eating your spuds !
