Whats Your Weather Like 2025

After a nice fresh night we have a hazy sun and 19c with a light fresh breeze going to +/- 30c and breezy.

 

Good morning all, a cool start to the day breezy,cloudy with a high of 16c but dry.

 

Another mild and cloudy day, and the same forecast for several more days. Then there's a small possibility if some rain Tues-Weds next week.

At least it's not hot.windy weather that dries everything out so fast.

 

Prayers answered it’s drizzling and it has been for an hour or two. It’s not on the Met forecast for around here today but put a smile on my face !!!

Well I'm still here, the broad band change over seems to be ok...............................so far.
We have a mix of cloud and blue shy dry with a slight breeze but only 14 degrees, waiting for the chimney sweep to arrive.

 

Forecast for the day has been downgraded to 19 maximum. Feels like 14c and quite breezy. Just had a walk through a nearby park and all the brown leaves along the way, it’s strange.

 

We must have had a little splash of rain overnight because I've just been outside and there was 1mm in the gauge, and drops on the alchemilla leaves. That's the first measurable rain since 4th August.

 

You're earlier post re rain coming to France instead is a bit of a joke @simone_in_wiltshire . We have had an unforecast dribble this morning and a couple of claps of thunder so I've checked the forecast.

Dry now for the foreseeable and Monday's 28mm forecast has gone dry. I did say earlier that seeing is believing didn't I? And there I was going round watering parched young trees and promising them some rain soon. That'll larn me.

A few days ago, the BBC hoped hurricane Erin will move to the UK as it would do in normal times. But since we have the drought, nothing comes to us and the latest forecast is that the remaining Erin will do landfall over France (Fri or Sat).

 

Not here tho @Simone and I'd been hoping it would bring some much needed rain.

 

Wait for it. Erin is currently in front of the US and will turn to Europe over the weekend. They expect it mid week to Friday? But this may change ...

Not much like August here TBH, or maybe it is.
Grim with patchy drizzle early, followed but thick clouds until 2 pm when it brightened a bit, lots of thin cloud blocking the sun now and a pretty cold wind blowing.

It made 21c by the thermometer but feels a lot colder.

 

We have been hovering just over 30c since two o'clock with a fresh breeze. Quite a pleasant change from our past months of extreme heat. The plants/shrubs are looking brighter. We should be continuing like this.

 

I always feel that August is a transition into autumn.
