    Hi all
I saw this in a garden but owner not available to ask. It has clusters of flowers, only about 1.5m tall, slight scent. I find the colour an interesting mixture and it does seem to change from bud to full blown. The photo doesn't show the colour tones very well - think of light red overlain with rusty orange.

It looks similar to a Hot Chocolate I had in my last garden but that was shorter and had no perfume.

Maybe rosa Hot Cocoa which is taller and does have perfume but I've never seen one on sale over here. Pity as it looks to be a good colour for here.

Thank you all - Hot Chocolate is highly plausible - the scent may have been from some other roses very nearby. The height was of an arching stem, so probably not typical. Cinco de Mayo seems to have a similar colour but more petals maybe? What a shame, I might have to buy both:biggrin:
Btw, from the breeder name (Wekplatlez) hot Cocoa and hot chocolate are the same plant.

I was thinking Hot Chocolate to. I saw it at Peter Beales when I was last in Norfolk and it looked just like that. Peter Beales says it has a slight perfume. I have several roses from Peter Beales and they have all grown taller than it says on their website.

Mine never got above 80cms but it was planted in a border of deep fertile alkaline loam on a clay base and it could take a while for roses to get going. The heavy rains and very deep frosts, usually without insulating snow, in winter didn't help either.

I do love the colour and am surprised not to have seen it on sale here where strong colours are so good in the sunshine.

I have Hot Chocolate and must say it seems very similar colourwise .

Maybe it fades badly in too much sun? I'm in Wales, so normally not much chance of that!
