13c and cloudy. The winds have yet to pick up properly - they are due later. But the trees are making a lot of noise.

Tomorrow looks good - dry, calm and sunny intervals.

The weather today is vile gales and horizonal rain, the Miscanthus in the front garden looks like one of the blow up carwash signs that gets whipped around.

Just seen a small leak above the front living room window  which is getting me worked up, no obvious sign but looks like with water running down the front of the house the wind is manging to push it up under the top of window frame, they no silicone there just pebble dash so hopefully that will fix it :fingers crossed: .

I’m so relieved that our roof was repaired in February. Any rain had been my biggest fear until then.
We had on and off rain over night and this morning. I just tried to move my legs in sunshine but returned after first rain drops.
It’s quite “warm with 16c. Very windy and gusty.

Rather wet today, light wind and 15 degrees, but the local river is up 2 foot, which is much needed for the Salmon running the river to spawn.

I tried the heating last Friday and used it for an hour on Sunday when it was really wet and cold.
11c currently, 16c over the day with a mix of sun and clouds.
                            No rain on the radar.

Yesterday's gales did some damage in the garden. It brought down lots of tree branches and completely removed an old, dead, tree that had a lovely clematis growing up it. :cry3:

It also brought down most of what was left of the Williams pears and a lot of apples

I shall take buckets of the windfalls to my club this afternoon for them to have. I tell them that they can take what they like but if they feel like giving a small donation for charity they can leave some money by the buckets. That usually works better than telling them how much to pay.

There's not a hint of a breeze this morning so I have just started picking up some of the windfalls. I had to stop after this lot as my back was telling me off. I can do the lifting but not the bending. Mrs Shiney shall have to do the rest.

Clear sky, the wind is starting to get up,I hope it's lighter than yesterday.

Although rough it was our first totally dry day for what seems like ages.

                                It's 12c this morning.
