Planted Lady of the Lake rose few months ago. Noticed some purple branches have appeared. Not sure what to do, leave it or cut them off.

    Welcome any suggestions. Thank you

I’ve seen purple suckers from the root. These purple shoots are from mid branches. I have other roses in garden but seen that before.

I'm not a rose grower but I would just consider that to be new growth.

That's just healthy new growth as Pete says. Nothing to worry about.

Healthy new growth indeed. Most new growth in roses is red-ish and that is precisely how the new growth of my Lady of the Lake looks like. I am in the garden now, here is a quick photo :) 20251001_183610~2.jpg

By the way, while I haven't experienced suckers with my roses myself, my understanding is that suckers are usually green and as a matter of fact, the red tones are usually a hint that a branch is not a sucker (though the only way to know for sure is to check whether the growth starts from below the graft). Sometimes new healthy growth can start from really low but still above the graft (basal canes).

I agree that it's new growth. Some of my roses are like that. I find that in spring growth starts and the bottom but in autumn there are higher shoots like that. I don't do anything until pruning time in late winter/early spring.
