Starting to batten down the hatches, heavy rain just now, 14 degrees but no strong winds yet, let's hope there's no flooding and folk are alright, take care all.

Heavy rain overnight, which has eased up now. More heavy rain expected after 11am. Seems mild. I can finally say the lawns have now been watered. At last. They are quite patchy and new grass seed has not germinated yet. Maybe this rain will get it sprouting.

Rain overnight (it had started by bedtime) - 3.5mm in the gauge this morning. Mild too. The forecast is now for showers during the day as well as this evening.

 

Drizzling and here for the day by the looks. Just been watching a young blackbird careering around our front garden after a female quite entertaining . 16C and a bit breezy .

 

Quite breezy so far but stronger winds are on the way. Damp too with heavy rain later and into tomorrow. Max temp 19c!

A gentle breeze from the south south west temp 16c feels like 18c

 

A becalmed 14 degrees at the moment, just back from a CT scan at the hospital and roads seem very light with traffic, thankfully folk are being careful,

 

Storm Amy is doing us proud here. I hope she is filling up the reservoirs nicely.
