Being royal does give license to do as you like entirely because the media continually plugs and supports the narrative that they are born into automatic privilege ... and about 50% of the public buys into this (for reasons that escape me). Personally I think you could exchange the name Charles for Andrew in your sentence and it would still be completely true. Is having a brief sexual encounter with a girl made available at a party for that purpose the worst act by a current/recent royal or is it just the media have been given "permission" to run with this one (for whatever reason), whereas other "misdemeanours" are out of bounds?
Except @ViewAhead it wasn't just the one encounter or one girl for Andrew and yes, Charles has been less than perfect as a person, let alone a royal with responsibilities arising from his priveleges, but abusing young girls is probably not one of his failings given his fixation on Camilla. Ghislaine Maxwell has been moved to a softer option prison, presumably to buy her cooperation in matters relating to Trump on whom she no doubt has the goods. No doubt several other people wanting to buy her silence and maybe one or two honest ones wanting her to spill the beans.
I assume so @ViewAhead because the FBI tried to extradite him for questioning and I suspect they wouldn't do that on the word of just one witness whom many would consider as damaged, dodgy and unreliable given her history.
I just think the spares dont have role and just tend to live a playboy lifestyle, even Princess Margaret in her day was surrounded by scandal.
Meanwhile, other things of note are happening in the world. For example ... ... many of us will be able to sing along to "If you like a lot of chocolate on your biscuit, join our Club". However, now it would have to be "If you like a lot of chocolate-flavoured coating on your biscuit ...". Apparently, the amount of cocoa fat used today is too low to allow the product to be labelled as chocolate. Tsk! How far we have fallen from the gourmet standards of children's treats in the 60s and 70s.
Gourmet standards if children's treats... you mean sour citrus powder, dots of royal icing on paper, big chunks of bubble gum and black jaw breakers? Oh yes, and filling puller toffee too. I never got better than that!
Humbugs would be more appropriate these days given what we have to listen to As for royal Heirs and Spares, they'd beat rabbits any day.
I used to do it to p' off one particular woman I worked with who seemed to take is as a personal affront that a male was able to touch type. I think the fact that I could type faster than her too added to the insult
There is a film 'Hidden Figures' about the contribution made by women in the early days of NASA. They were effectively airbrushed out of NASA history because not only were they women, they were black women.
I don't think that's a fair assumption at all. She was under age in the US state where this happened. Maybe the others will just that bit older. Why would he pay millions to shut her up if there wasn't any truth in it? Add to that, more and more is coming out about his lies regarding his connections to Epstein.
