    Must admit to smashing a few toadstools when I was a kid not sure why now other than as kids we were told they are deadly poison and not to even touch them.

    Ah - yes @Escarpment , I misunderstood what you'd said. As you say, their idiotic behaviour ultimately achieves nothing in the grand scheme of things.
    These clowns just enjoy destruction, which is part of a bigger problem nowadays. I know there's always been destructive people, but it seems far worse nowadays, or maybe it's just because we hear about it more readily.

                Hi @CarolineL , the last one has the Latin name, Phycomyces blakesleyanus, but it's commonly known as ' Hairy poo fungus' because it's most commonly found on decaying faeces. It's the first time we've seen it, my partner spotted it while looking at other fungi nearby.

                            @On the Levels The Inkcaps, Cakes and Tooth Coral were in Upton Country Park (Poole) and the Upright Coral were in Poole Park, to be honest I haven't seen many other fungi around.
