He’s not here yet ‘storm benjemin’ though windy with blue sky we could expect rain around lunch-time . It’s 10C and not had any frosty mornings yet here in Wales .

We had a wonderful 4mm yesterday. Was suposed to rain from 11am to 2pm but it didn't but thankful for what we got. Currently overcast with broken cloud, 20.7c going to 26c like yesterday, sun and cloud today.

The rain started at about midnight (exactly as forecast for once!). I can see that there's about 8 or 9 mm in the gauge but I'll go out and check properly when things have dried up a bit more (it's forecast showers until midday).

I think the storm has missed us. No wind and just normal rain.

Forecast is now sunny intervals, dry and 10c. Should be a nice day after all.

It’s a bright morning so far but some rain is due this afternoon. Weekend might be dry though.

I'm tending to think we have caught the worst of it as usual. As far as the UK is concerned.
Winds are really picking up now the rain has got a bit lighter.
Got 40mm in the gauge from yesterday evening.

The track of this is very similar to the big storm in 1987 if my memory serves me right.

You are right. Instead of ploughing through the middle of England, the storm took the channel and turned towards London Kent area.

Here in NE Wales, the rain has suddenly become VERY heavy and the trees are blowing about like mad. The sea has "disappeared".

The guessers say it is cloudy and since it is still dark, I can't dispute that. It is 44f 6c and we are supposed to get a peep at the sun later. The heater is operating in the greenhouse to make sure it does not dip below 40f 4c because there are three chillie plants left in there. I'll probably land up bringing them inside under lights so their fruit will finally ripen. I don't have any seeds yet from these and want to grow them again next year. (Chocolate reaper and red reaper) Slow coaches!

It’s gone rather chilly, blowy and drizzly here. Need to walk to collect my car from garage soon and too windy for a brolly (which I left in the car anyway!).

I think the wind has turned out to be lighter than forecast, still blowy but I was expecting worse, rain has finally stopped and some sunny spells.
Feeling cold in the wind around 11c.

It began to pour down yesterday pm just as I was finishing planting the broccoli. Good timing. I then came in, got dry and spent a happy half hour gazing at the rain slicing down in great waves of wind. Beautiful.

It carried on wet and mostly windy overnight and was quite noisy with a single great clap of thunder at 5:30am but no damage that we can see apart for a couple of pots blown over and a few posts loosened, holding up netting in the veg plot. Warm now in the low teens and very squally. Almost 2cms of rain in all.

Lots of homes in western France without power, tho not here, and plenty of bits of tree lying in the lanes as we headed off to do our weekly shop. Just dribbles expected for the next few days and then back to sunny and dry and mid to high teens.
