Sunny spells and light rain showers are the order of the day for us. Max 13c. Quite breezy so far.

I think that we might have had a thunderstorm in the night, i could hear rumbles of thunder but i did hear the heavy rain.
Sunny intervals and a moderate breeze from the south west temp 11c feels like 9c

A rather grotty 10 degrees, stiff breeze(what an odd description lol) with showers forecast, off out gadding in a bit.

Showers yesterday. Today is mostly sunny with a good breeze. We had a short shower around 11-ish but it didn't amount to anything much.

                  Hi,

When it comes to the weather here on the very exposed valley side I never kid @zenj Before I changed to water based Benjamin Moore paint it was a nightmare painting the bungalow exterior with oil based paint. There used to be a guesser many years ago called Bob Rust who's sadly passed away; I'd just made and installed a wooden up and over garage door getting it primed ready to receive the last top coat of paint; it was mid summer and a glorious summers morning; Bob forecast wall to wall hot sunshine.

Just as I applied the last brushful of paint there was a cloudburst. Another occassion it took three attempts to paint the exterior of the two roomed extension; the first two attempts down came the rain ruining the finish and with oil based paint it needs time to dry before sanding. Dewsbury is much lower than where I live hence I fully agree it well enjoy blazing sunshine whilst it's bucketing down here; Dewsbury is 9 miles distant but shielded by Grange Moor and Emley Moor; I'm at the wrong side so warm it up for Dewsbury.

I was born in Dewsbury and in those long ago days Dewsbury was wonderful; many of the old beautiful buildings remain but the town is now totally different; it's a different word as are many towns in the UK.

After very heavy rain this morning it's now sunny; this is why I say a typical Yorkshire day although this year we've enjoyed a long rare summer.

                  Kind regards, Col.

The day started sunny, but once arrived in Cirencester, it started raining while the sun was shining, like in April. On the way home, it was sunny again.
It started raining at 2PM and there were two thunder shortly later @Logan.
10c currently but it was warmer in the morning.
