Why do they have to keep using the same old faces all the time? Surely there must be new, young talent out there.

Bottom two couples were a surprise and I was sad to see the losing couple in the dance off leave. I think there were possibly a couple of weeks left in them.

Please can the judges come on and sit down ( or better yet, be sitting down at the start), it's not about them.

      And stop screaming.

I recorded the show as usual to fast forward through the waffle etc.
I still have one couple left to watch (I think, I lose track :rolleyespink:), Amber and Nikita.
I thought Lewis and Katya's dance was amazing. As someone who is not a fan of couples choice, I thought it was more of a show dance, but it certainly livened up what I thought was a bit of a dull show.

I think it's the shoehorning of the dances into the Halloween theme as usual.

I have watched Strictly since the very first show and never thought I would say this, but I think it might well be a good idea to rest it next year and come back with the new presenters and at least 2 new judges in 2027.

The Halloween theme is not my favourite, but a great showcase for the costumes and makeup departments.

Couples choice is difficult to score because they aren’t tied to classical steps or ‘rules’. It was an excellent routine, but surely at an advantage there. If Ellie is ever in the dance-off, I won’t be able to watch as I would be upset to see her disappointed or sad. She isn’t the best technical dancer but I adore watching her perform as she embraces everything despite any difficulties she must have.

We enjoyed the show last night, on the whole.

Lewis and Katya's dance and performance were amazing. She's a clever girl with her choreography and he seems to take it all in his stride and make complicated seem easy.

Ellie always seems to learn her moves throroughly - excellent teaching from Vito - and is clearly having a ball which is brilliant for everyone whose suffered from limited expectations for people like her.

Yet another salsa with no armography and not even a mention of it from Craig so clearly the "show" salsa is a different codification. Viennese waltz, which Shirley tried to be purist about, as danced here also involves a lot of moves with the couple open. Otherwise it's a very boring dance to do and induces sea-sickness after about 30 seconds. Mind you, the French put under arm spins in the English or slow waltz and call it Boston.

The results show is going to be interesting.

You were right about the results show @Obelix-Vendée.

I didn't expect the couple who went out to be there, but it's difficult for me to make any further comments without naming names !
I know some people don't catch up until Monday.

I think the right decision was made though.

I thought Vicky's tango was OK (although Kai looked as though he had constipation), I might have been swayed by the dress through.
But dear lord, the OTT screaming at the scores.

I just cannot warm to Amber, but those lifts were pretty spectacular.

I also felt sorry for Alex Kingston, she had clearly struggled all week and looked exhausted in the VT. Even Johannes didn't seem his usual self.
Finally, if Lewis doesn't end up in the final I shall be amazed.

No idea who is leaving this week, but I think La Voix will be in the dance off.
PS @AuntyRach ,I don't know if you watched Ellie in the dance off last week, but Vito was brilliant in that situation .

Yes, @AnniD, Vito was really good with Ellie from how he adapted his training to choreography and care.

I did not like La Voix's performance and though the outfit and wig were horrendous. Poor old Aliaz. I know it's his favourite dance but why does he have to pull those faces whilsts doing it? Not elegant.

Lewis is was brilliant and Vicky finally got over her nerves and that dress helped tho I didn't like the front bodice. Too gaudy.

Felt very uncomfortable watching Alex but I did like the concept and hope she gets thru.

I too have trouble warming to Amber - irritating person - but did appreciate the armography in the first half of that salsa and the lifts were impressive. George is irritating too - far too blasé and not taking it seriously.

I don't think Harry will last long. Impressive muscles but they seem to make him look stiff rather than flexible and fluid in his movements and he seems slow to catch on to the technique.

The OTT screaming and standing ovations have been getting worse and worse over recent series. It's more like an American game show every year. I remember the days when a decent performance got an appreciative round of applause and only an absolute show stopper had the audience on their feet. Even then it was applause, not screaming.

I meant to post in the week to say Vito looked after Ellie beautifully @AnniD - not sure if that was him naturally or coached a bit, but either way it was very heart-warming. I like him even more!

I’m not sure who will go this week but I fear Alex or Harry.

I have to say that last night I agreed with Craig's judgement on so many dances.
George's rhumba was so strange, that having missed the introduction I assumed it was a couple's choice.
I suspect it will be Balvinder and La Voix in the dance off.

It was all a bit lack lustre compared to last week wans't it @AnniD. Right result in the dance off.

Me too @AnniD. I've saved it so I can indulge. They're athletic, precise, entertaining, funny and really creative with their choreographies.
