Has anyone grown this ? I bought one a few weeks ago and I'm sure the instructions from the nursery (which I can't find) said it died back in winter, and it has. However the on-line information tends to dispute this. Any help will be appreciated, thank you
Do you have it inside or outside, Michael? The RHA website says Hardiness H1b which is for summer temperatures only.
Looks an interesting plant Michael, strangely I've heard the name but never looked any further, looking it up on this site it says herbaceous. https://www.orchidbotanics.co.uk/product-page/kohleria-warscewiczii
Thank you both. I only got it a few weeks ago. I added it to an online order because I needed another pound or two to get free postage, and this covered it It's been in the greenhouse, and only had one bedraggled stem which has died now. I want it to regrow next year but reading about it on the computer was confusing.
Not that I know this plant or had heard of it before but after reading the hardiness, it looks to me like a pot for a room with natural light without getting direct sunlight and and temperatures between 10 and 15c.
Kohleria are in the Gesneriad family and grow from rhizomes. If it has died back put it in a cool spot indoors and let the compost dry out. Coax back into growth in the new year. Cracking plants!
