Yesterday was mostly sunny. I went outside and took out the tomato and cucumber plants that were about done. Half a punnet of tomatoes to ripen on the windowsill and one huge and slug-nibbled cucumber down low on one of the plants that went in the compost bin.

We've had a bit of rain overnight but it's quite bright now (high broken cloud).

It is now up to 48f 8c and total cloud cover is making things a bit gloomy. The guessers are say we might get a slight bit warmer later in the day. Grim but the good news is their Ouija board still spells sun for tomorrow. :fingers crossed:

                    Hi,

I was dreaming during dinnertime; the rain had stopped and it brightened up; I thought let me attack the couch grass; alas my dream disappeared; it's now the usual black hole looking like it's going to bucket down again; the breeze has also got up. I'd like a force field right over the bungalow and gardens but I think the council would object.

                    Kind regards, Col.

Well the forecast said it would brighten up this afternoon but surely it has to stop drizzling first, doesn't it.
Looking at the actual radar and the forecasted radar they couldn't be any more different.

15c strong gusty wind, mud and muck/leaves everywhere, this has to be the dirtiest time of the year.

                        Hi,

Years ago @pete I watched as what looked like fog was approaching me on a beautiful hot sunny afternoon; it was coming from the opposite side of the valley; it was monsoon rain; I was standing on the pavement and it stopped on top of the low wall adjoining the pavement; to my back it was still dry and hot but I could reach out and actually touch this deluge; it was a sheet of extremely heavy rain; I think it was just a once in a lifetime event. I've also seen pouring rain and sunshine together; this valley suffers extremes of weather.

It's decided not to bucket down because I've not gone into the garden but it sure is dark and the strong breeze is now gusty wind. I'm not in the least complaining because every day above ground is a bonus. It's nice and cosy in the recording studio.

                        Kind regards, Col.

A rather mixed day here, thick cloud, then gaps and the sun peeps through, quite windy but dry at present, though this may change, a rather unusual 14 degrees at the moment.

Sunny, warm and calm until mid afternoon when the sun disappeared and clouds moved in. Just after 6pm the heavens opened and it bucketed down for an hour. The moon is shining now but who knows for how long? Temperature reached 15C/59F.
