    Hi
So I harvested my atlantic giant pumpkins one got up to near 4 St in weight so not a tiddler but probably a tiddler for the varity. So my question is will the seeds I harvest from the 4st pumpkin come as true to varity and grow big the same as going to a shop and buying more atlantic giant seeds.
For context when I grew the pumpkin there were no other varitys of squash grow and knowbody in atleast a 2 mile radius grows squash .

    Thanks

At that size, it would certainly take a rather big oven to roast them in  Presumably they are either used in a Biggest/Heaviest Veg competition or for Halloween displays ?

Pumpkin pie is delicious and a good way to scoff huge quantities of pumpkin: sugar and spice always helps

I squeeze the water out of the cooked flesh, then boil that down till its thick and re-add it for flavour, but you could also use it as a soup base.

Do you just boil the flesh or roast it?

I put it in the oven in a pot with a lid on so it steamed for a few hours. got it up to temp then turned oven off and left it

I also roast the seeds with some salt and its a nice snack, though the woody outside can be annoying to chew

Last time I grew a pumpkin, pictures from 2011.
I never ate any of it, I gave it to a mate and I think it ended up just getting destroyed so not bothered since.
