Well, that's it we can't get out or in all roads flooded only passable with tractor or lorry 4x4's questionable

We have had mostly light on and off rain all day, got 7 mm from when it started 24 hours ago, its stopped now but still cloudy although the sun did try to come out earlier. the rain appears to have had some dust in it as the car is slightly dusty now its drying.

We began with a pleasant and quite sunny day, cold but dry, then the showers began and now it is quite heavy rain, which was not forecast for us. 8 degrees, but feels colder in this North East wind.

 

Ridiculous rain here.

The pond is at an all-time high (was all-time low just a few months ago!).

I hope anyone with floods, or other weather-related issues, are safe and ok.

 

The yellow warning area didn't come as far west as here, and the rain was just 'ordinary' rain. It came from the east. The front of the house faces east, and the front door and windows were wet. That rarely happens, it's usually the west-facing back and garden that gets it.
It was a bit breezy on times but nothing out of the ordinary. That came from the east too, the shrubs in my front garden were getting blown a bit more than they usually do.

 

Incessant rain, really strong wind gusts and the power's now been off twice; the last time just after I'd started to cut the meat up and was preparing to cook. Otherwise a lovely day.

 

The heavy rain just doesn't stop and we have another day of it at least. Unusually it's from the east so the house side wall, which has a large gable, is getting most. The rain is coming in above the garage side door. And the TV is cutting out due to the wind and rain on the oak trees.

And the ASDA delivery man had proper trousers on. And the poor post boy said his hands were too cold to ring our doorbell.

Next week is going to be cold.

I don't mind rain, but not on my woodwork.
