I took delivery of two berberis yesterday, julianae.
    Those thorns, wow!
Wish I'd found these first, they're brilliant.
Reckon I can keep on top of those with some garden-shears.
The holly that I've put in around the edges could have been a bit closer together.
    No matter.
I shall plant more berberis a foot in behind the holly in front of the spaces between the others.
Should the berberis overwhelm the others in time, I would have no problem with that.
Am pleased with the height of my new berberis plants.
If they grow a foot next year they'll be just about as high as I want them.
I have ordered more, not julianae this time.
Intend to look at others, there's quite a selection to choose from.
