    Hi,

Frost and a bit of ice this morning; forecast states 0C and feels like -5C for the next hour. I jump into a warm bed every night having had the electric blanket switched on; I then switch the blanket and the C/H off but I've covered the duvet with a throw; if it gets much colder I'll turn the electric blanket setting down to all night use and leave it on.

There used to be a discussion regarding leaving the C/H on full time saying it was cheaper; I tried it and the gas bill shot up.

Over the coming weekend it's going to be cold and wet but to improve next Tuesday?

    Kind regards, Col.

First time this autumn/winter a bit of frost on the car windscreen and a touch of white on some dead leaves, sun shining at the moment, a bit of breeze from the North, peak about 7°C.

A bright start to the day, dry so far, very breezy and - I presume - cold out there. The sea is quite choppy. Today's temps should range from 3c to 7c. No mention of any snow in our forecast as yet.

This blue sky and sun shine will beam through the windows and warm the house up.
Went down to 16c in the bedroom in the night !
CH kicked in at 6am so warmer now,
A cold Northerly frisky breeze ,

Snow didn’t come to much but our front and back garden are all white but thankfully steps and paths are all clear not icey. Birds are back and forward on the feeders coal-tits, hedge sparrows, great-tits plus we just saw a Thrush flying close, it’s cold for them aswell!!! 1C buurrr.

The outside temperature sensor measured -3C overnight but no visible white frost this morning. Maybe not enough humidity. It started snowing at about 9am and now we have a covering but I don't expect it to last.

3 degrees C outside at the moment. Awaiting the arrival of Mountain Rescue before venturing out to see if the car windscreen is iced over.

It has just gone from -4C to -3C but feels blooming freezing despite the bright sunshine.

I filled up the bird feeders (with a thank you from one of our robins :)) but changed my mind about picking up the windfall apples. Bending down with a freezing wind blowing doesn't do my bad back much good so Mrs Shiney said she will pick the apples up. I have customers for the apples this evening.

Sat out with the Furries for 45 minutes to get some real Vit D. It is 14c now but still have that nasty breeze from the North.

Looks like most over there have caught up with my chilly temps!

It is up to 28f -2c and the guessers say it will get up to 44f 6c which will be nice! The skies are fairly clear. I think I'll pick up some food to grill on the barbecue :)

@shiney I've found that one of those long handled "grabbers" from Dollarama/Poundland come in really handy for clutching things beyond arm's length. I use mine a lot for things up over my head but they are good for picking up ground fall.
