It's been wet overnight and the forecast suggests that we'll have heavy rain for most of today. A lot milder at 13c max.

Out there it’s gone up to 7C and it’s been raining through the night and more for the rest of the day. All quiet on the bird feeders at the moment.

I don't care, it's warmer than frost and my aches and pains won't be so bad today

 

It rained in the early hours and sounded like sleet or hail on the window.

The sunny intervals for today have now disappeared and it's back to heavy rain midmorning. At least it's a bit warmer at max 9c.

I don't suffer aches & pains Michael but like you I much prefer rain to frost.



Back to deep puddles along the street after overnight rain but it's better than the previous days of frost and ice; 8C today so perhaps I'll feel warmer; the C/H is on but I've not been able to get warm over the last two days; the rooms have been warm but I've felt so cold; I've just turned the heating up in the studio; it's too wet to get into the garden; all I'd do is make a mess and trail dirt around but Thursday if the weather forecast is correct (?) looks promising; I feel idle unless I'm busy grafting.

Bright and sunny following a cold night hovering around 5/6c. sun will soon warm things up as the garden is predominantly South East. I will check all the Hibiscus in pots. The six in the ground will be fine. A fine sunny day forecast to 16c,

 

It’s back to dull and drizzly today. Might reach 10 degrees today.

 

No frost this morning but it somehow feels colder than yesterday, probably because the sun isn't out.

 

I sat out for 45 minutes earlier. The Hibiscus were fine, lots with buds. It was 14c but felt warmer on my chair directly in the sun ... This picture was yesterday from the CCTV but my chair always has the sun most of the morning ...

 

Its been a showery kind of day with lots of heavy cloud around, the wind has picked up and felt particularly cold around midday.
Looks like we have a bit of heavy rain to come yet before this lot moves away.
